PROJECT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Project Development Manager Solar PV for Sweden (workplace Copenhagen, Hellerup)
Danish Renewables is looking for a Project Development Manager to drive the efforts to expand the solar project portfolio in Sweden. You will step into a broad role that will require great skills for strategic partnership-building, ability to think outside the box, a strong self-drive and solid time and task management. You will join a goals-focused team in the renewable energy sector with peers that look to help you grow and with room to do so.
Role description
You will be responsible for planning, organising and monitoring solar energy projects from land identification to ready-to-build stage. This means that you have the central role in ensuring that each project is brought to the finish line according to plan. A project manager in solar energy gets a varied and challenging everyday life with different types of projects in an industry with strong growth.
Main responsibilities will include:
• Project evaluation: Evaluate project feasibility, potential risks, and financial viability. Provide recommendations on the most promising projects to pursue, considering their alignment with business goals.
• Securing land: Negotiate and close land lease agreements.
• Securing grid: Liaison with grid operators, ensuring the best connection terms for each project.
• Permitting: Coordinate and drive the permitting process of the projects with the permitting specialists.
Other tasks may include site visits, team development tasks, general investigation as well as staying up to date with relevant industry developments.
Profile
You likely hold an academic background with proven experience within areas related to process or project management. We are looking for a person of Swedish nationality or with long-time experience with Swedish culture. Experience within the energy sector and/or areas related to obtaining relevant permits for construction from private and/or public entities in Sweden will be an advantage.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, is expected and experience with process-/ project management tools is highly appreciated.
Qualifications we think you possess:
• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or a similar position.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise accordingly.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent Swedish language and culture fluency (preferably a Swedish national).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
• Experience working in settings with high degree of independence.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies.
Professional and personal competencies
Renewable energy is not a stable 9-5 business with classical titles and divisions, but an industry in an explosive growth phase with exciting challenges and opportunities. This role therefore requires a person who has a high self-drive and who thrives in an area of continuous change where the goal is clear but the road to get there is discovered while travelling. Consequently, success in this position depends on adeptness in maintaining comprehensive oversight even under pressure.
Your personal qualities look something like this:
• People person: You have a natural ability to connect with people and easily make new connections with stakeholders in very diverse areas.
• Trustworthiness: Others have a reason to trust your word and your values shine through.
• Agility: You thrive in dynamic environments, easily adjust strategies and priorities to what we learn and what the business demands.
• You’re a great joogler: You are structured and can manage your time and priorities when many parallel processes require your attention.
• Positive view on life: Your positive mind and approachable personality leave stakeholders in-, and outside the organisation with a slightly better day.

• Flexible work arrangements: We understand that needs differ between people and life phases and accommodate for individual solutions.
